TAG-001Red Elvis is an “easy striker” and self strikes as it cools but gets a little darker with flame striking or kiln striking. Red Elvis strikes in an oxidizing atmosphere, at a slightly lower temperature than most rubies. Work in a neutral to oxidizing flame.
 
First quality rods are visually inspected to our highest quality standards. These rods are 5-8mm diameter, 16” to 20” long, have minimal forming issues and represent our best efforts to reduce air and stoning issues for increased workability.
 
Odd quality rods are visually inspected for forming issues in production. This glass may contain one or more of the followings attributes: off-round, taper, thin, thick, short, or bow.
 
Second quality rods do not meet visual our inspection standards. May contain one or more of the following: stones, scars, scratches, excessive air content, core, or color inconsistencies.
